Scholarship Foundation

The Portraits, Inc. Scholarship Program is a testament to our unwavering dedication to the future of the arts.

A portion of every portrait sold is donated back to our Scholarship Program

A Tradition of Giving Back

Established in 2001, the Portraits, Inc. Scholarship Program provides awards annually to children or grandchildren of Portraits, Inc. artists. Scholarships are awarded to qualifying young people who demonstrate community awareness, high ethical standards, and a sincere commitment to further their education. Eight named scholarships are awarded each year in honor of Lifetime Achievement Award Winners Marshall Bouldin, III, Daniel E. Greene, Everett Raymond Kinstler, John Howard Sanden, and Gordon Wetmore; former Portraits, Inc. owner Beverly McNeil; and former staff members Christine S. Adams and Marjorie S. Walker.

  • I'm so grateful for the scholarships I received from Portraits, Inc. throughout my degree. They enabled me to complete my degree with distinction and on the Dean's list, making me financially able to focus all my energy on my academic performance and community volunteer work. Many, many thanks!

  • I am humbled and so very grateful to have been awarded the Everett Raymond Kinstler Scholarship. Ray Kinstler was a brilliant painter and a phenomenal individual by all accounts. Thank you so very much. This award will be used to help pay my tuition and fees.
