Over its 70-year history, Portraits, Inc. has carefully assembled a select group of the world's foremost portrait artists offering a variety of styles and prices. We represent the modern masters in portraiture, such as Everett Raymond Kinstler, John Howard Sanden, and Daniel E. Greene, as well as outstanding emerging masters. Our roster includes more than 150 leadingportrait artists from almost every part of the United States, as well as Europe, Canada, and Australia.
We go through a rigorous process of considering which artists to represent. Of the close to 100 artists who apply each year, Portraits, Inc. only agrees to represent a few new artists. To help us make these decisions, we ask the artists to provide photographs of their portraits and the reference photos from which they were painted. This helps us judge both the artistic qualities and the degree to which the portraits capture a likeness. Artists must demonstrate a history of consistently delivering quality portraits. We also read through the artists’ resumes, interview them personally, and ask an artist advisory committee made up of the top artists and associates in the field to offer their opinions.
Our new artist review process is currently on hold, however, as we have an outstanding selection of artists representing a full range of styles and prices to offer our clientele.
