Originally from High Point, NC, Kate attended Choate Rosemary Hall in CT and Duke University where she graduated in 1998 with a BA in Psychology and a Certificate in Markets and Management. After working for George magazine and Sothebys.com in New York, Kate began her interior design career at Tucker and Marks interior design in San Francisco. She then moved to London, UK where she earned a Fine and Decorative Arts Diploma at Christie's Education and an MA in Historic Interiors and Decorative Arts from The Wallace Collection. Kate stayed in London to work as an Associate Interior Designer for Spencer-Churchill Designs, where she was fortunate enough to work on homes all over the world. In 2014, they relocated to Winston-Salem where they enjoy raising their family and being an active part of the community. Kate particularly enjoys her involvement with Winston-Salem's Reynolda House and Museum.

This includes creating a curated portfolio presentation for each client in order to find the perfect artist and medium, organizing the logistics of meeting with the artist, enabling smooth communication between the client and artist and ensuring that everyone is thrilled with the final portrait. Kate is also happy to help with framing and installation, if needed. Overall, Kate's goal is to make it a special and happy experience for all involved.
